If you didn't make the Food & Wine Pairing Challenge at Bolero then you missed a truly great event. George and the staff at Bolero treated us to an excellent menu that was at once simple yet very tasty indeed. The stars of the evening, however, were Christian Robertson from Discovery Wines and Brian Drea from Goslings.

Brian and Christian sampled the menu for the evening in advance in order to present wines that each felt paired best with the food served in each of the four courses. Both did an excellent job as can be attested to by the results in the table on the right. Brian's wine was chosen 3 times and Christians was chosen twice and when the dust settled Brian was the overall winner by a mere 4 votes (122 - 118).

With each course, the wines were so good and the choice so difficult that I had to go right to the last drop before deciding! This certainly is the type of event that creates an exciting and enjoyable evening and we will most certainly have more in the future.
